Welcome to Heath Hay and Straw
Heath Hay and Straw is located at Hatfield Heath (in Essex) near to Bishops Stortford where the Hockley family have been farming since the 1850’s.
Since 2002 , following local demand, we have been baling up hay and surplus straw for onward sale. We carry out all crop husbandry and field operations ourselves, from planting right through to baling.
All of our hay and straw is stored in weather proof buildings to ensure that when it reaches you it is just as good as when it came in from the field. All bales, whether hay or straw, are approximately 14” x 18” x 36” ( 360mm x 460mm x 920mm) in size.
In 2019 we received planning permission to erect our new straw shed, something we had been wanting to get under way for several years.
It enables us to store larger volumes of straw ( and hay ) more efficiently and also gives us enough room to load up trailers undercover so we are all ready to make deliveries when the weather clears.
We offer FREE DELIVERY on orders to the value of £150 or more within 10 road miles of Hatfield Heath, further afield for an extra charge per mile.
