All our straw is baled up from our barley crop after the seed heads have been harvested. (If the quality of the seed is good enough it is often sold for malting to brewers such as Greene King.)

Barley straw is softer than wheat straw and is usually not as dusty. It also stays in longer lengths to make a nice deep bed for your horses, calves, pigs or chickens.

Straw bales also make good seats; if you are planning an outdoor event they bring a rustic and rural atmosphere to any occasion!
